Pet Surgery in Indianapolis, IN

We perform a wide variety of surgical procedures.  These range from those needed for basic care, like spays and neuters, to those required to treat serious conditions.  We are equipped to provide emergency surgery, and a full range of internal soft tissue procedures including bladder stone removal, splenectomies, mass removals, and the removal of internal foreign bodies.  The Eagle Creek Animal Clinic offers traditional pet surgery in Indianapolis, IN as well as radio surgery, which can reduce the incidence of bleeding and improves healing. Radio surgery is especially beneficial for skin tumor removal and eyelid surgeries.

Your pet’s surgeon will recommend pre-surgical laboratory screening to help assess your pet’s fitness for anesthesia and surgery.  We will also address any questions or concerns you may have about surgery, including concerns about anesthesia, pain management, or postoperative care.

The Eagle Creek Animal Clinic uses safe and effective modern anesthetics. When any patient is under anesthesia, they are monitored carefully using a surgical monitor that measures blood pressure, pulse oximetry, heart rate, and temperature. Once your pet’s surgery is completed, a technician will call you and update you on your pet’s condition.  After surgery, your pet will be moved to recovery where he/she will be monitored until ready to be returned to their hospital kennel. Your pet will be made comfortable and all his/her needs seen to until the time of release, at which time you will be given full recovery instructions for home care.  Most surgical patients are released the same day as surgery.  If any questions arise after your pet returns home or at any other time during the postoperative period, call us. Our focus on patient safety, pain management, and employing the most current surgical practices is designed to exceed your expectations and put your concerns to rest. We welcome your questions and will do all we can to help your pet recover fully. Help is only a phone call away.
