Hospice Care & Euthanasia
Pet Hospice Care
Every pet owner will come to the point where their pet reaches a senior age and begins to decline in health. Eagle Creek Animal Clinic will be there to address your concerns and help keep your pet comfortable according to your wishes. We offer different pain management plans and medications tailored to each pet’s needs. When it comes to making a decision on the quality of life for your pet, our staff and doctors will guide and support you.
Pet Euthanasia
Saying good-bye to a beloved pet is one of the most difficult situations a pet owner will ever encounter, but trying to decide when it is time to say good-bye can be even more difficult. We can assist you through this difficult process, first of all, by listening. Whether your concerns are about your pet’s long-term pain, its quality of life, or other end of life issues, we can listen and help guide you in the effectiveness of various therapies. When you have questions about whether the time has come to humanely help your pet past the last experience of its life, all of our staff are aware of the difficulty of this conversation, and will be a compassionate ear and guide as you discuss this decision. Humane euthanasia is a medical procedure that needs to be discussed (however painful that discussion may be) and considered thoroughly before a final decision is made. Let us help you through this difficult time.
If and when you decide that humane euthanasia is indicated, our staff will offer a personal, quiet, compassionate, and private setting in which to say goodbye to your friend while we help make sure that process is healthy and appropriate for both you and your pet.
We offer a variety of services after euthanasia, and have an excellent relationship with Pet Rest, a memorial garden and cremation service. Pet Rest welcomes tours of their memorial garden, and will provide urns with the pet’s ashes if the owner opts for individual cremation.
Deciding on euthanasia is a very personal and private decision, but that doesn’t mean you have to make this difficult choice on your own. Our humane euthanasia services are conducted with respect, compassion, and care.
