Lab Analysis & Diagnostics
There are times during an exam when laboratory procedures may be ordered so that our doctors may more accurately asses a pet's health. We provide many diagnostic services under our own roof. With our in-clinic laboratory, we can immediately evaluate many tests, such as a complete blood count (CBC) or a thorough blood chemistry panel, without having to send samples to an outside laboratory. When more extensive testing is needed, we use IDEXX Veterinary Laboratories and most results are returned within 24-48 hours. Our staff is trained in how to handle samples for analysis and results are seen by the veterinarian to decide on the next step for treatment.
Our digital radiology machine provides X-rays for diagnosis of fractures, foreign bodies, and lung disease. Ultrasound imaging is extremely useful in evaluating internal organs for tumors or enlargement. Your pet's doctor may recommend some of these diagnostic procedures in certain situations to better assess your pet's condition.
